For me, someone who loves diving into the sea, daydreaming under a blue sky, or hunting for photos, Amed is one of my favorite places when I’m on vacation there. It’s definitely a must-visit destination if you’re traveling to Bali.
Especially if you’re looking for a quieter spot away from the busy southern part of Bali. Amed offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle.

What is Amed?
Amed is a long stretch of coastline from Culik village about 14 km east, incorporating seven villages: Amed, Jemeluk, Bunutan, Lipah, Selang, Banyuning, and Aas.
It’s about a 3-4 hour drive from Denpasar or Kuta. While not as abundant as Jalan Poppies in Kuta, Amed offers various accommodations, from budget to luxury.

1. Jemeluk Bay Beach: Ideal for Beginner Snorkelers
Jemeluk Beach, located in the village of Jemeluk, Amed, Karangasem, Bali, is famous for its stunning underwater beauty and popular diving spots.
The clear waters are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The main attraction is the beautiful and diverse coral reefs. Underwater, you’ll find various tropical fish, colorful corals, and other marine life.
